台湾から記載され、国内では本州、琉球列島及び小笠原諸島に分布する。タブノキの葉に生息する。P. Cinnamomiに似るが後胸の腹側縫合線が発達しないことで区別できる。
This species is described from Taiwan and occurs on Honshu, the Ryukyu Islands, and the Ogasawara Islands. It inhabits the leaves of Machilus thunbergii [Lauraceae]. It resembles P. cinnamomic but can be distinguished by the underdeveloped metathoracic sternopleural suture. Phytophagous.
